How to select the cutting volume of NC lathe correctly?

 

How to select the cutting volume of NC lathe correctly? It is a major content of the CNC cutting principle course. There are three basic principles in metal machining:

 

1. The quantity of cutting tool of NC lathe

 

F mainly depends on the surface roughness requirement of work piece. When to make precision machining, the surface requirements are high, and the amount of cutting is small: 0.06~0.12mm/ spindle rotation. When rough machining, it is preferable.it mainly depends on the tool strength, generally more than 0.3, when the tool's main rear angle is large, the tool strength is poor, and the feed quantity can not be too large. In addition, the power of the machine tool, the rigidity of the work piece and the tool should be considered. Numerical control program uses two units of the quantity of cutting tool of NC lathe: mm/minutes, mm/ spindle per rotation, the above unit is the mm/ spindle per rotation, such as the use of mm/minutes, the use of the formula conversion:  the quantity of cutting tool per minute = volume per minute * spindle rotation per minute .

 

2, CNC lathe machining speed (linear speed, turning speed) V (M / min)

To select spindle revolutions per minute, you must first know how much V the cutting speed should be taken. The choice of V depends on cutting tool material, work piece material, machining condition and so on.

 

Tool material:

 

Cemented carbide, V can be obtained higher, such as above 100 m / min, it is provided technical parameters when you purchased blades:

 

How many line speed can be selected with machining materials? High speed steel: V can only get lower, generally not more than 70 m / min, in most cases take 20~30 M / min below.

 

Work piece material:

 

High hardness, low V; cast iron, V low, tool material for hard alloy when 70~80 meters / cents; low carbon steel, V advisable 100 meters / more, non-ferrous metals, V preferable higher (100~200 meters / points). Quenched steel, stainless steel, V should be lower.
